Imaginative, meticulous presentation of the photos and the artist’s texts...respectful of the subject and the place, using multimedia to go beyond just the photos and give us a more complete sense of the fishing community.

Very educational, were surprised to find this in a quiet little town!

Surprising gem of history in an enchanting location. How often do you get to see and hear history—not the stuff everybody knows…

Sperez West

A wonderful depiction of a hard working community dependent on the resources around them and the sea. A great reminder of how hard our fishermen toil and struggle with the elements to maintain life and family. Maine ingenuity to survive keeps (kept) fishing communities alive (sometimes barely) and meeting social and life circumstances head on! [my husband repairs commercial boat propellers. These might be families of some of our customers]

Ian Jerolmack

Thank you for showing me about the lives of people who are “marginal” to life of us in town, people who adapt, survive, and know nature in a way so different from recreational nature enthusiasts.
